孟庆伟,男,1959年12月出生,是一位毕业于山东农科大学的博士、教授和博士生导师。他现任生命科学学院教授委员会主任。

1988年至1990年赴美国肯塔基大学农学院进修学习,1996年至1998年赴德国明斯特大学做博士后研究。中国植物生理学会常务理事、山东省植物生理学会理事长、山东省政协委员、《植物生理学报》编委。

主要从事作物光合作用光氧化与光保护的分子机制研究。

1. 植物光合作用及分子调控:以重要农作物小麦、番茄等为材料,克隆与光保护机制和高光效密切相关的重要基因,并分析其功能,为分子育种提供基因资源。

2. 植物抗逆境性及分子机制:克隆、鉴定与低温和高温胁迫密切相关的基因,分析其功能。

近年来承了国家973课题、子课题、国家自然科学基金等多项课题。在New Physiologist, 植物界 and Cell Physiology, Journal of Experimental 植物学, Planta,植物生理学报等国内外著名学术刊物上发表论文80余篇。

主持山东省首届精品课程《植物生理学》和山东省优秀教学团队建设,主编全国高等农林院校“十二五”规划教材《植物生理学》(中国农业出版社,2011),国家级精品资源共享课《植物生理学》课程负责人。
