廖建文（Liao Jianwen）是一位中国企业家和学者，出生于1967年8月。他在战略、创新和创业领域的跨学科研究、教学和咨询方面享有盛誉。廖建文曾任京东集团首席战略官，并在长江商学院担任副院长和战略创新与创业教授。他在北美和亚洲地区都有丰富的工作经验，并在生物技术产业创业。此外，他曾在美国伊利诺伊州理工斯图沃特商学院担任终身教职，并在香港科技大学、北京大学和中欧商学院（CEIBS）任教。廖建文教授的研究重点是新经济与传统经济的交融，特别关注互联网、移动互联网和社会网络对传统经济（如教育、金融和医疗等）的持续影响。他在战略创新、竞争定位和商业模式构建方面具有独到的视角和系统研究。2021年7月12日，京东集团发布内部文件，宣布廖建文因身体原因退休。
1984年8月考入东北地区工学院就读。
1988年9月入中国人民大学外国经济研究所攻读研究生。
1991年8月毕业后在中国船舶总公司研究院工作。
1992年9月赴美国攻读博士学位。
1995年博士毕业后在美国芝加哥工作，任大学教授。
2017年4月17日京东集团证实，原长江商学院副院长廖建文加盟京东集团，担任首席战略官（CSO），负责集团整体战略规划及战略实施落地工作，聚焦商业模式等研究，系统性推进战略的规划、迭代、复盘和落地。
2020年4月1日成为永辉超市董事。
2021年7月，京东集团首席战略官廖建文因身体原因退休。
以在战略、创新和创业领域的跨学科研究而知名。积极参与了创业动力定组研究计划(Panel Study of Entrepreneurial 动力学)，这是对美国新兴企业家以及合资创业的第一次大规模、横向研究。他曾在《战略企业家杂志》《企业创业学杂志》《创业理论与实践》《小企业管理期刊》《小企业经济学》以及《高新技术管理研究期刊》上发表30篇学术论文。他的一篇研究报告《美国总统报告，2007》曾被《小企业经济学》选为特写文章。他的研究和教学成果为其赢得了众多奖励和荣誉，其中包括美国小型企业管理局授予的研究经费奖为《21世纪经济商业评论》和《北大商业评论》等刊物撰写专栏。此外，他还曾任美国中小型企业管理局的顾问。
