李建奎，1963年5月生于菏泽市，汉族，致公党党员。1993年在南京大学获博士学位，1997至2003年访问美国和加拿大。现任华东理工大学理学院院长，数学学院教授，博士生导师。

2016年7月1日上午，召开华东理工大学理学院教师干部大会。会议宣布了华东理工大学党委和校部关于理学院院长、副院长调整的决定：任命李建奎为理学院院长，龚尚庆为理学院副院长。

研究方向

算子代数和算子理论的研究。

主讲过微积分，线性代数，实变函数，泛函分析，非线性泛函分析，应用泛函分析，专业外语，专业英语和论文选读，数学分析，数学史，数学文化，复变函数与积分变换，近世代数，Banach代数，算子代数。
