王铁，男，1954年生，现任信息科学研究院所所长，副研究员。 1975年毕业于湖北大学中文系，曾在湖北师范学院中文系任教8年，1983年底调入武汉市社科院。1993年被聘为副研究员。1994年任城市发展所副所长；1997年起任信息所副所长、所长；1999年被中国地质大学管理工程学院聘为教授、研究生导师。

Wang Tie, male, born in 1954, is the director of Information Scientific Research Institute and the associate researcher. He was graduated from the Department of Chinese of Hubei University in 1975, has taught in the Department of Chinese of Hubei Normal University for eight years, in the end of 1983, he was transferred to Wuhan Academy of Social Sciences. He was hired as a associate researcher in 1993, the deputy director of Urban Development Institute in 1994; the deputy director, the director of Information Institute successively since 1997; In 1999, he became a professor and graduate-students’ instructor of Engineering 管理学 College of Chinese Geology University.
