韩晓,博士,南京医科大学教授,博士生导师,江苏省人类功能基因组学重点实验室主任,南京医科大学生物学一级学科博士点带头人。

人物经历

韩晓,男,博士,特聘教授,博士生导师,江苏省人类功能基因组学重点实验室主任。1986年毕业于武汉同济医科大学六年制医学本科,同年考取同济医科大学分子病毒学与免疫学专业硕士研究生,硕士毕业后留校任教。于1991年公派赴德国维尔茨堡大学攻读生物免疫与病毒学博士学位,1994年获博士学位后在德国明斯特大学分子医学所从事细胞因子、金属蛋白酶和糖尿病的博士后研究。1996年赴美国洛衫矶City of Hope National Medical Center糖尿病研究中心从事分子免疫学与糖尿病等的研究。曾获美国国际青少年糖尿病研究基金会资助(JDRF),2003年元月回国定居,被南京医科大学聘为教授、江苏省人类功能基因组学重点实验室学科带头人。

2023年6月14日,国家自然科学基金委员会公布2023年度医学科学部基础科学中心和创新研究群体项目专业评审组组成名单,韩晓在列。

研究方向

糖尿病发病机制。

主要贡献

利用先进的分子生物学和生物化学技术,发现花生四烯酸-前列腺素生成信号转导途径中,12-脂氧化酶的代谢产物12-HETE其有诱导前列腺素合成的关键酶--环加氧酶-2(COX-2)基因转录和表达的作用,而用12-脂氧化酶的抑制剂-咖啡酸类物质,可以抑制12-HETE的合成,从而减弱COX-2基因的转录和表达,进而减少前列腺素的合成。鉴于前列腺素有抑制β-细胞分泌胰岛素的作用,所以,这一新的信号转导通路的发现,有助于进一步揭示1、2型糖尿病对胰岛β-细胞发生功能障碍的机理。发现了基质金属蛋白酶组织抑制因子-1(TIMP-1)对胰岛β-细胞的凋亡具有保护作用,并借助分子生物学和细胞生物学技术,进一步研究了胰岛β-细胞发生凋亡的机理,揭示了核转录因子NF-KB与β-细胞发生凋亡之间的关系,为转基因胰岛移植及1型糖尿病的基因治疗提供了新的新的思路。已在多种国际著名学术期刊上发表学术论文,且在COX-2基因调控的信号转导方面获一项美国专利。

获奖记录

获得省部级奖励1项,获得一项美国专利和二项中国专利奖。获江苏省科技进步二等奖一项(排名第一);江苏省有突出贡献中青年专家,江苏省“333”突出贡献奖。
