于炼，男，汉族，1962年11月11日生，即墨区人，1978年3月加入中国共产主义青年团。2003年6月加入中国致公党。1983年10月参加工作，曾任全国政协委员；中国城市建设控股集团总裁；中国城市发展研究院院长；华本地产俱乐部常务理事。研究生学历，博士学位、高级工程师。
曾从事过记者、部委机关、企业负责人等工作。企业管理经验达15年以上。历任中国警察协会企业管理办公室副主任；公安部警安实业总公司处长、副总经理、总经理；中国机电集团公司总经理；中国城市开发公司总经理等。
于炼同志是政协十一届全国委员会委员、团中央中国青年企业家协会七届、八届、九届副会长，中国青年建筑房地产委员会首届主任。中国致公党中央十二届、十三届中央委员会委员、中央海外工作委员会副主任。中国扶贫开发协会第一届常务理事。中国环境文化促进会第一届理事、第二届常务理事。中国文化管理协会本届副会长。
