别之龙，1970年3月出生，博士，教授，博士生导师，现为华中农业大学园艺林学学院蔬菜系主任，国家蔬菜改良中心华中分中心和园艺植物生物学教育部重点实验室研究人员，国家西瓜甜瓜现代农业产业技术体系“设施栽培”岗位科学家。1996年博士毕业于西南大学，1999年2月-8月在东北师范大学留日预校学习日语，1999年10月-2001年9月在日本千叶大学园艺学部从事博士后研究。主持建设的“设施园艺学”课程2008年被评为国家精品课程，荣获中国农业工程学会第五届青年科技奖，2008年获得湖北省杰出青年人才基金项目资助，
现为国际园艺学会会员，中国农业工程学会理事，设施园艺工程专业委员会委员，中国园艺学会设施分会常务理事，湖北省园艺学会常务理事，武汉市食品安全专家咨询委员会委员，全国设施农业科学与工程本科系列教材编写指导委员会委员，长江大学兼职教授，《长江蔬菜》学术版副主编,《Asian Journal of Plant Science》、《温室园艺》编委， Biosource Technology、Scientia Horticulturae、Soil Science and 植物界 Nutrition、应用生态学报、农业工程学报、园艺学报等刊物的审稿专家。
蔬菜和西甜瓜设施栽培与生长发育调控、品质与营养调控、安全生产、工厂化育苗
主讲面向本科生的设施园艺学、设施栽培原理、设施栽培技术等课程，面向研究生的无土栽培学、设施生理生态、设施园艺工程等课程。
