周晓林，男，1963年12月出生于扬州市。曾任北京大学心理学系主任，脑科学与认知科学中心主任、心理学系发展与教育心理学教研室主任；东南大学、中山大学、北京师范大学等学校兼职教授。任国际Language and Cognitive Processes杂志编委，NATURE集团新刊Scientific Reports编委，罗丹科学院Corresponding Fellow、中国心理学会普通心理学与实验心理学专业委员会主任，英国实验心理学会、国际行为发展研究协会会员。
1981年9月－1988年9月在华东师范大学心理学系学习，获得本科和硕士学位；
1988年10月赴英国剑桥大学学习，1992年获得博士学位；
1992年5月至1998年10月在伦敦大学Birkbeck学院心理学系从事博士后研究，后任Research Associate；
1998年10月至1999年9月任剑桥大学实验心理学系Senior Research Associate；
1995年10月至1998年12月，周晓林博士兼任北京师范大学心理学系副教授；
1999年正式回国工作，任北京大学心理学系教授；
2001年获得中共中央组织部、人事部和中国科学技术协会主持的“中国青年科技奖”，2003 年获得教育部“优秀高等学校骨干教师”称号；
2018年任上海外国语大学语言研究院院长
2020年1月任华东师范大学心理与认知科学学院名誉院长。
