柴真，女，汉族，1962年8月生，籍贯河津市，中国共产党党员，1983年8月参加工作，理学博士，教授，博士生导师。
曾任石河子大学党委书记。
1979年-1983年，北京大学生物学系本科生，获理学学士后留北京大学生物学系工作至今（其间：1993年-1997年赴斯德哥尔摩大学神经化学与神经毒理系在职攻读博士研究生）；
1997年-2007年，任北京大学生命科学学院副教授。
2007年任生命科学学院（原生物学系）教授，从事缺血性脑血管病损伤过程中神经元钙稳态调控、神经元与胶质细胞相互作用机制等研究。历任生命科学学院党委副书记（2003年-2008年），发展规划部副部长（兼）（2005年-2008年），生命科学学院党委书记（2008年7月-2016年3月），党委组织部副部长（2015年12月-2017年1月），党委组织部部长（2017年1月至今）。
2017年12月，任北京大学党委常委、党委组织部部长。
2019年12月，任石河子大学党委委员、常委、副书记。
2022年2月，任石河子大学党委书记。
2022年2月14日，石河子大学召开干部大会，宣布兵团党委任职决定，柴真同志任石河子大学党委书记。
脑梗死是危害人类生命健康的重大疾病。在全缺血性脑血管病或局部缺血的核心区，胞外谷氨酸浓度可达到100-300mM。谷氨酸的积累造成谷氨酸受体的过度激活，胞内钙离子超载，并引发神经元的凋亡及坏死。本实验室的兴趣在于利用电生理学和激光共聚焦成像技术、结合分子生物学等实验方法，研究脑缺血损伤过程中神经元钙稳态的调控机制、神经元与胶质细胞相互作用机制。另一方面，因冬眠动物蒙古黄鼠具有耐受低温和低氧环境的特性，以及近期我们证实黄鼠能够一定程度抵抗心脏停跳导致的缺血性脑血管病损伤，本实验室希望从神经元及胶质细胞入手深入研究其缺血耐受的神经机制。
