赵要风，1970年生，博士，中国农业大学生物化学与分子生物学系教授，博士生导师，国家杰出青年基金获得者。主要研究领域为动物分子遗传学。

2008起任Developmental and Comparative Immunology杂志编委。近年来分别为国际SCI杂志Journal of Immunology, Molecular Biology and Evolution, European Journal of Immunology, Developmental and Comparative Immunology, Mucosal Immunology进行同行论文审稿，并为美国国家自然科学基金进行项目评审。
在前期工作的基础上，课题组的主要研究方向包括：
- 脊椎动物免疫基因的比较和进化研究
- 免疫球蛋白（抗体）转运机制研究
- 非骆驼科动物来源重链抗体（纳米抗体）生产平台的建立与应用
- 家养动物病毒抗性相关基因的高通量筛选
赵要风教授在低等脊椎动物中首次发现具有明确链区的抗体新类型并命名为IgF。在鸭嘴兽中发现一种新型哺乳纲免疫球蛋白并命名为IgO。首次在家养动物中发现IgD及其特殊的表达机制。在两栖纲、爬行纲及原始哺乳动物鸭嘴兽中发现IgD基因，为理解IgD在脊椎动物中的进化提供了重要线索。此外，他还发现了猪促卵泡素b亚基（FSHβ）基因是影响猪产仔数（包括总产仔数、产活仔数）的主效基因或遗传标记。
