Yalin Yalin Chin
2000年9月-2006年6月于杨凌昆虫博物馆攻读硕士和博士学位，主要进行半翅目蜡蝉总科瓢蜡蝉科分类研究，于2006年6月获得博士学位，获得陕西省优秀毕业研究生荣誉称号。
担任昆虫分类学重庆市市级精品课程和普通昆虫学重庆市级精品课程主讲教师，同时讲授农业昆虫学部分课程。

自2003年开始主要从事瓢蜡蝉科分类和发育研究，弄清我国瓢蜡蝉物种资源组成和分布状态，澄清和厘定部分存疑分类单元的分类地位，描述和命名大量新的分类单元，初步探讨各分类单元之间的亲缘关系，极大丰富了世界瓢蜡蝉区系。
目前重点是从事中国西南地区蜡蝉总科物种多样性，蜚蠊目拟叶亚科物种多样性和区系研究，以及城市卫生害虫蜚蠊行为特征的研究。
