陆日宇，男，中国科学院大气物理研究所研究员，副所长，《大气科学进展》编委。主要从事气候动力学的研究，特别是东亚大气环流和季风系统。中国科学院大气物理研究所大气科学和地球流体力学数值模拟国家重点实验室（英文缩写LASG）主任。博导，杰青，中国科学院大气物理研究所学术秘书。

1987年毕业于中国科学技术大学地球和空间科学系，获理学学士。1987年考入中国科学院大气物理研究所，1994年获博士学位。1992年起在大气所从事科研工作，期间曾赴韩国、英国、日本进行过短期合作研究和学术访问。现为大气所研究员、博士生导师、所学术秘书、所学位委员会副主任、所发展战略调研组组长、大气科学和地球流体力学数值模拟国家重点实验室主任、中国气候研究委员会副秘书长，并任《大气科学》执行主编、《Advances in Atmospheric Sciences》和《Atmospheric and Oceanic Science Letters》责任编委、《Journal of the Korean Meteorological Society》等期刊编委。
发表论文30余篇。
获"学笃风正"奖和"赵九章优秀青年科技奖"。
2015年3月23日，正值国际气象日之际，大气所陆日宇研究员因其为气象事业发展和中韩合作交流所作的贡献，荣获韩国环境部部长奖。陆日宇研究员是该奖第二位非韩国籍的获得者。
