吴海斌，1973年生于浙江金华，是一位博士和研究员。他在1992年至1999年期间在兰州大学地理系自然地理专业获得了学士和硕士学位，在1999年至2002年期间在中国科学院地质与地球物理学研究所第四纪专业获得了博士学位。

主要研究领域是古气候学与碳循环，长期从事全新世土壤有机和无机化合物碳库变化及人类活动的影响、陆地和水生生态系统碳循环、植被反演模型的研制及古气候参数定量化等方面的研究
