邓元望，男，1968年生，湖南省安化县人，现为湖南大学机械与运载工程学院热能与动力工程系副教授。
邓元望（1968年生），男，湖南省安化县人。2002年在华中科技大学获动力机械及工程专业博士学位，2006年湖南大学控制科学与工程学科博士后流动站出站，现为湖南大学机械与汽车工程学院热能与动力工程系副教授。主要讲授传热学、发动机电子控制技术等课程。
1、发动机排放控制技术，2、混合动力电动汽车技术，3、发动机电子控制技术，4、发动机排放污染物测试技术。参与研究课题5项。
