万建民,男,汉族,1960年6月生,江苏省泰兴市人,九三学社中央委员,教授,中国工程院院士京都大学遗传学专业农学博士,中国农业科学院原副院长。

现任十四届全国政协常委、农业和农村委员会委员,九三学社第十五届中央委员会农林专门委员会主任,浙江大学农业生命环境学部主任,先后获国家科技进步一等奖1项、国家技术发明二等奖1项。1999年被教育部聘为首批“长江学者奖励计划”特聘教授。2006年入选新世纪百千万人才工程国家级人选,2012年入选科技部创新团队、获得何梁何利基金奖;2015年当选为中国工程院院士

2017年11月8日,万建民会见来访的陶氏杜邦公司农业事业部全球研发负责人尼尔·盖特森一行,双方就进一步加强合作交换了意见。

2017年11月9日,万建民会见美国田纳西大学农业分校校长蒂姆·克罗斯率领的代表团。

2021年6月7日,万建民应邀赴长春市围绕吉林省种业发展进行座谈并作报告。

现任九三学社第十五届中央委员会农林专门委员会主任,浙江大学农业生命环境学部主任。

第十三届、十四届全国政协常委,第十四届全国政协农业和农村委员会委员。国家重点研发计划专家组组长等社会职务。截至2020年10月,万建民兼任中国作物学会副理事长、中国作物学会分子育种分会主任委员、中国农业生物技术学会副理事长、国家863专家、江苏省三项工程”水稻育种首席专家等职。

研究方向

主要从事水稻的基因定位、克隆和品种选育研究。重点围绕水稻品质、超高产、抗病虫、抗逆等性状,构建高密度新型分子标记图谱,开展相关新基因的精细定位、克隆和遗传转化,并进行水稻功能基因组学蛋白质组学生物信息学研究;建立和完善分子设计高效育种体系,与常规育种相结合,培育具有市场竞争力的优质水稻新品种。

获得荣誉

2000年以来,获中国高校自然科学一等奖1项(2000),获中国农科院科技进步二等奖3项(2002~2004),获浙江省科技进步二等奖1项(2006),获江苏省科技进步二等奖1项(2007),获国家科技进步一等奖1项(2010,第一完成人),申请专利及品种权23项,获得专利及品种授权8项。撰写专著3部,在国内外核心学术期刊发表论文200余篇,其中SCI论文50余篇。2001年获得中国农学会“全国优秀农业科技工作者”称号,江苏省人民政府授予“江苏省农业科技先进工作者”称号,2002年获得“江苏省有突出贡献中青年专家”称号,2003年获得江苏省“全国五一劳动奖章”,2005年获得国务院特殊津贴和“农业部有突出贡献中青年专家”称号。2006年被评为人事部“新世纪百千万人才工程”国家级人选。2014年,万建民获国家技术发明二等奖(第一完成人)。2014年,“阐明独脚金内酯调控水稻分蘖和株型的信号途径”入选2014年度中国科学十大进展。同年,万建民获得教育部2014年度高校十大科技进展。
