令狐萍，女性，1956年出生，教授，国际著名移民史研究专家，美国亚裔美国研究旗舰期刊《美国亚裔研究》前任主编，美国福特基金奖作家。现任杜鲁门大学历史系教授（前任系主任），亚洲研究学位委员会创办人与前任主席，教授东亚史与亚裔美国史。并任武汉侨务理论研究中心，国务院侨务办公室侨务理论研究武汉研究基地兼职教授，暨南大学华人华侨研究院客座教授，广东省人民政府华侨华人研究会海外顾问，中国作协山西省女作家协会理事等职务。令狐萍教授经常受邀到国际国内研究机构与高等院校做学术报告或演讲。曾被美国多家电台采访，她的研究亦被国际国内多家报章与电台报导、《中华英才》半月刊2013年6月1日、北美中文权威报刊《世界日报》2012年2月2日、《世界日报周刊》2006年1月15日版曾刊登有关她的人物专访，她也被收录入国际国内多种名人录。

她的百余篇史学专论，散见于《美国种族历史研究》、《美国研究》、《美国城市研究》、《历史教师》、《密苏里史学研究》、《近代中国妇女史研究》等中、美主要学术期刊。她参与《中国古代史》《台湾的现代化和文化认同》《二十世纪的重大事件》、《海外华人与 中国的新研究》、《华人的文化适应和文化改造》、《世纪之交的海外华人》、《亚裔美国百科全书》、《起源与归宿》等著作的写作。她曾受聘《圣路易时报》任专栏作家，撰写《圣路易的华人》 历史专栏。她的游记散文与时事评论也经常见诸国际国内英文与华文重要报刊。
