邵旭东,男,1961年1月生于富阳区,毕业于湖南大学,获工学博士学位。现任湖南大学教授、博士生导师,同时担任湖南大学道路桥梁系主任、桥梁工程研究所所长。邵旭东还是湖南省政协委员、农工民主党湖南省省委委员。在学术界,他兼任中国公路学会桥梁和结构工程学会理事、中国工程建设标准化协会桥梁专业委员会委员、国际桥梁与结构工程协会会员、湖南省公路学会桥隧学科分会副理事长,以及交通部十百千人才工程第一层次人选、交通部新桥梁规范专家组成员。
